Great Things Happening At LHS
Success and Liberal High are commonly assocaited with each other. The athletic school year of 2023-2024 was not exception. Many programs brought home hardware in their activities, along with making history in both Unified bowling and Girls Wrestling.Liberal had its first Female Wrestling State Champion, The Unified Bowling team would bring home a State Runner Banner in only its second year.
The LHS Soccer boys capped off their regular season by handing nationally ranked #2 Dodge City their first loss of the season, and finished their season as district champs.
The LHS football team finished their season with a 9-2 record, a record that has not been reached in the last two decades.
The Track team found success with Cesar Pavia, when he broke the 800m schoool record that had stood for over 40 years.
Liberal saw 16 students sign letters of intent to continue athletics at a post secondary institution.
